I feel so incredibly sad

I cleared off the Nyoka Falls sim today.  I will accept the final offer on the sim tomorrow and start proceedings Saturday to sell it.  I have had ties to that sim since 2007.  I would love to keep it, but I can't compete with land barons, and without Dylan in world creating, I don't even know why I am keeping our stores at all.

For anyone that should read this and might want to get a last offer in on a grandfathered, 30k sim, please send a notecard in world to Katanya Mistral.  Current high bid is L$240,000 plus the transfer fee paid by the buyer.

The clear out continues and goodbyes ahead

 So, ahead of the LL gacha ban, I am still clearing out all of my gacha saves from the past few years.  Sets I have saved for myself, but haven't moved from a storage folder, are all going into the random gacha vendor at the yardsale.  I am still keeping it set at $L10 a try.  My hope is that some folks will find enjoyment wearing or displaying the items I have spent so much time and L$ collecting, even though I know the one person that keeps clearing out my stock is likely just reselling it for their own gain.

I think this is a portion of the start of me finally pulling away from SL.  I have a grandfathered 30k sim I am going to be selling, which partially breaks my heart.  If we could find good tenants I would love to keep it, but I think it was too late for that a long time ago.  Right now it is trying to figure out what a fair price is and hoping I can find someone before tier is due again on 5Sep.

I already bought and created a small parcel for us on mainland for an in world location for our stores, but I think it may need to go to.  I'm honestly not sure anyone cares if our products persist or not.  It's one of those times where I wish we heard something from our customers.  The only time we hear anything is when people don't pay attention, don't read all of the material I have taken so much time to put out there, or are simply struggling with skills or items that are really out of our control.  I'm not completely bitter, but as I am sure many other merchants have experienced, you just wish you could hear more nice comments than anger/confusion/frustration.

If anyone actually read this far, thanks for allowing my exhausted self to rant.  I hope everyone that is still in SL and nice enough to read my little blog is happy and healthy.

Bye bye gacha

I am sure most of you have heard the news by now, LL is banning all gacha and like vending starting 1Sep.  Some people are ecstatic about this news, and others, not so much.  We will still be allowed to resell our gacha prizes since the buyer knows exactly which one they are purchasing.

I still have my random gacha prize vendor at my shop, which of course needs to go.  To that effect, hundreds of my own personal stash of gacha prizes have been added to the random vendor at the yardsale, with lots of rares.  Price has been dropped to L$10 a try.  I will try to add more to this as the stock gets sold.

Apologies to all, I was unaware the random gacha vendor had stopped working, and thankfully someone was kind enough to tell me today.  I have fixed my script and you are welcome to try your luck once more.

(I forgot to block out a function when I took out part of my script that used to block people I had banned from being able to buy from it...and of course it wasn't showing any sort of error.  Oh well, that's the fun of scripting.)

Policy Update for my gacha yardsale

So I have thought about this for a long time, and have decided to change a long standing policy for my gacha yardsale.  I will no longer be banning people that buy from me and then resell those items.  I thank those of you that provided feedback on this to me and helped me think this through for the final decision.

Please just pay attention to the text above the vendors so you are sure of what you are purchasing, as I do not augment the original gacha image to circle each product.  Sometimes you may purchase an item and be immediately refunded; this is because the vendor system hadn't realized it was out of stock.  I apologize for this, but most vendor systems aren't designed for selling no copy items.

I will not respond to anyone that contacts me wanting to negotiate on prices, whether that be a reduction on a rare or wanting a discounted price for a full set.  I sell all commons at or below the original pull price, and I don't think my markup on rares is unreasonable.

All sales are final.

~ASH~ and ::AME:: Existing Mesh Clothing Price Reduction!

So I was finally brave enough to ask Dylan if I could reduce prices on some stuff, so here is your first major change!  All existing, standard sized mesh clothing from ::A Master's Eye:: and ~A Slave's Heart~ have had their prices reduced in world and on the Marketplace, some by over 33%!  This is a permanent price change and not a temporary sale.

Please note that prices are 10% higher on Marketplace to cover Marketplace fees, as I announced a while ago.  All prices are below L$200, even on Marketplace!

Counter Earth Grid and OpenSim

So I visited the Counter Earth grid today, which is available through OpenSim.  As expected it is filled with copybotted material.  I saw items from: Catwa, Tia, Dysfunctionality, Truth, zerkalo, le fil casse, Zaara, Meva, Ikon, Fanatik, what next, a.n.c Ltd, 8f8, DRD, PFC, Aeros, Belle Epoque, Swallow, Slink, Belleza, Vista Animations, VAW, SEmotion, Old World, NightShade Design...  There were actually tons more that were familiar to me, but those were what I was able to recognize off the top of my head or from, get this, it being in the object name.

Look, I understand if you are unhappy with the way SL has gone, specifically the way SL Gor has changed over the years...BUT...those that run this grid have accounts in SL as well, and have been around for years.  You can't tell me that they don't recognize these items as stolen.  If you want to go off to some other grid and do your own thing, by all means, go do you, but don't disrespect the countless hours that have gone into creating these items and the revenue lost for these merchants by copybotting or encouraging the use of copybotted material.  One of the main tenants of Gor that so many of you argue about people not having is honor...pot calling the kettle black much?

Gacha Yardsale Policy Reminder

Visitors to the gacha yardsale are reminded when they visit, the policy is posted in the building, as well as my profile and our blog; anyone found buying items from the gacha yardsale and then reselling them will be banned from all vendors and the gacha yardsale land.  Claiming ignorance of such a clearly posted policy will not be tolerated.

I had been nice and had a 25% discount posted on all of my gacha resale vendors since May.  I never removed it like I originally planned.  Having my kindness abused, one item being marked up 2900%, and after having my policy in place for years, just ticks me off.  I shouldn't be surprised that there are still massive jerks in SL, especially amongst gacha folks.

The items I sell are those I have pulled from machines myself, not items I have obtained from buying what other people pull.  I only sell my extra items to try and get back some of what I spent.  SOME.  That is why I price at or below pull price for commons.
