Gacha Yardsale Partnership and Why I haven't been blogging

I have needed to dedicate more time to my college courses as they have increased in difficulty.  I have also been at a near constant state of having absolutely nothing for real life finances.  These are just two of the reasons I have not been in SL much over the past few months, and are also why I have not been attending events to gather goods to blog.
I am sorry to the few fans I had.  I did enjoy making new outfits to show you, but without funds in either world, as well as the above problems, I have had to put a halt to my fun.  I do hope you forgive me.

What a busy few weeks!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for me.  Scrambling to get ready for We Love Roleplay, trying to start getting some things in order again for blogging, and doing my best to maintain and slowly add items to the gacha yardsale.  All of that on top of school full time, midterms, a cold, medicine changes, tons of rain and hail, other RL challenges like finances, and now trying to plan for the next round of We Love Roleplay.  Now if only our sales matched all the effort we've put forth recently hehe!

I hope all of you are doing great.  I have been having fun searching through Flickr and blogs for posts about our items in We Love Roleplay this round.  Some of you have actually grown by leaps and bounds, and I think it's fantastic!  See you all soon!

"You haven't blogged!"

Hi there loyal fashionistas!  I know I haven't blogged in about a week or so.  Weather in real life has been interesting, and I've been trying to focus on a few other things.

I seem to be an excellent spokesperson for SL sometimes, and have managed to drag a real friend into the game and get her set up for one of the roleplay realms.  Helping her put her look together has been fun, though I am lucky she had great ideas to start.  As she has developed a few of her looks, I have tried to take some pictures for her, but I realize that I am really not that great at adding just an avatar to a background picture and making it look right.  Maybe she can help me keep practicing.  I really have to figure out how shadows and lighting work.  Curse my non-artistic mind!

I do have a couple of outfits I'd like to share with you all soon, so please don't think I've disappeared hehe.  There are some really great events going on right now, and more starting soon.  (Another round of Arcade...oh no!  my wallet is screaming.)

Oops!

I had started a calendar to show off the shopping events I know of and attend in SL, but didn't realize I had not made it public so you could all see it as well.  That is fixed now.

Gacha Yardsale Reopened

Despite the inventory loss, I have moved the gacha yardsale to its new location and it is now open for shopping.  I am still working with LL to recover the lost items, but I didn't want to keep this from you any longer.  Please feel free to drop by the new location, shop, hang out, or get comfortable in the lounge.

Gacha Yardsale News

Sorry for the late notice, but the gacha yardsale is currently closed and being moved. The new location will be separate from the ::A Master's Eye:: main store, but within the same sim.  The new location will be on it's own parcel, with it's own building, and everything is being broken down into better categories for ease of shopping.

It will reopen as soon as a lost inventory situation is handled by LL.  A significant amount of inventory was lost between Saturday and Sunday night, and I have been trying to get LL to assist with the recovery since it was discovered.  I want to be able to continue to offer everything I have promised everyone, so I thank everyone for their patience during this endeavor.

A new LM will be posted on the yardsale page when it is reopened and ready for shopping with more items available!

Gacha stuff

I hope to have the drow outfit up later, but for now I have been busy updating the gacha page to show all of the goodies I have out for sale.  There will be more there soon as well!

I need your help!

I am looking for a list of the great shopping events in SL that happen on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis so I can add a calendar to the blog to show upcoming events.  I need event names, brief event descriptions, websites, event dates, start and stop times, and locations.

A glimpse of what's coming...

Since I mentioned it in my last post, I just wanted to give you all a glimpse of what my Jarl and I have coming to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival that starts on the 4th,  Hope you like it =)

Why the delays?

I just wanted to share with you one of the reasons new posts are taking so long, besides school and real life.  Here are a couple of previews of what we will be offering at the upcoming Fantasy Gacha Carnival in November.  Please note that these are works in progress, but at least you know I have actually been doing other SL stuff with my Jarl hehe

Sorry there haven't been any recent posts folks.  School just started for me again last week, so I am trying to get settled there as well as dealing with some issues in real life.  I promise I will try to have something for you soon!

Copybot Battle Update

If you saw my previous post on my personal mission to find and identify all those on the marketplace selling copybot versions of Pink Fuel skins (http://playindressupsl.blogspot.com/2014/09/battling-copybotters.html), which I have been keeping updated by the way, you may find the following link helpful.

I found a link to a thread on the SLUniverse forums where others users have been trying to keep track of mesh copybot theft.  You can find the thread here: http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/general-sl-discussion/63903-mesh-police-ripped-content-watch.html  I also decided to post a link to my previous post there, since many of the offenders deal in more than just ripped skins, but also ripped mesh, or mesh that has been uploaded against someone else's TOS.

Gacha Resale Page

I have created a new page, which you can get to via the tab above, that has the ad images for all of the gacha items I have up for sale from all of the different events and stores I have visited.  I will add or remove images as new stuff gets added, or if all items from that line sell out.  I have not listed each individual item, I just have too many.

Well, I have all the raw shots for finishing off the detail shots of what has already been blogged.  I will try to get them all finished later today and posted, which will hopefully free me up to make some new posts with new outfits for you all this weekend.  Thank you everyone for your patience with me.

"So where are your posts?!"

Hi folks,

I'm sorry there haven't been any new outfits posted for a while, but I just finished the last quarter for my Associate Degree last week, so things got really busy, and I have been struggling to get some things straight with my school and the VA.  (For those that are unaware, I am a disabled veteran.)

I have also been trying to go back and slowly make the detail shots for all of the outfits I had already posted, because I really want to put a quality effort into showing off the magnificent creations of those I choose to blog.  I am really hoping that soon some creators may actually want to sponsor me to blog their items, but I need to make sure that I can show them that I am dedicated to showing just how great their items are.

On top of these things, and my other real life struggles (hence the fundraiser on the bottom right), I also have my duties to my Jarl in helping him run ::A Master's Eye::  I am basically the customer service representative, and do all of our blogging, wordsmithing, etc.  I help him with ideas, as well as try to keep him motivated as best I can to move on to new and exciting projects.  I would also like to try to get back into creating more myself, though I am no where near as talented as my Jarl.  I do have a couple of outfit ideas, and I am really hoping that I might be able to at least get one finished before I have to start school again in a week and a half.

If you do like the things I post on here, I would really love to hear it.  I would really enjoy getting comments or feedback from those of you that stumble upon this blog.  Knowing that people like what they see here would really be a boost for me, and to be honest, I could really use that kind of long distance support right now.

I promise to get back to trying to post outfits more regularly when I am able, and really hope that can be next week or soon thereafter.

Just a random share

I've been holding on to this one for a bit. I keep thinking about redesigning the outfit and setting. It's for a personal art project. Plus I was feeling sad when I looked at my RL fundraiser and thinking about my current needs. Anyway, just thought I would share this.

Gacha Fever

For those that don't know, I have a small gacha resale outside the main store for my Jarl and I.  I love gacha machines, but I often get way more then I need or want, so I try to put those things back up for sale for what I paid for them, though I do mark up rares a bit.

I'm trying to update the Facebook and Blog for ::A Master's Eye:: when I add more items.  I also send out in world notices since there is a no group mailing list for the blog.
