GLHAgent Resident

So I'm sure all of you have heard about or have already been messaged by GLHAgent Resident in the past few days:

[2016/05/23 05:37:19] GLHAgent Resident: (Saved Mon May 23 03:49:46 2016)Hi Katanya, I have a present for you. I'm from the German Land Holding and we're giving away for free our new Security Orb to all avatars in Second Life.
Best regards,
[link] [offers item [GLH] Present]

After this stupid spam reached two of our girls today, I decided to try contacting the owner of one of the GLH groups.

[19:14:16] Қαтαηуα Şнαηηαrα (katanya.mistral): I'm sure by now you've had multiple reports of the avatar GLHAgent Resident trying to pass his or herself off as an agent of your company while handing out "security orbs". I'm hoping you've banned then from your groups, though they are still showing as a member. Tired of blocking and banning the avatar.

I first got his autoresponse, but after 5 minutes actually received the following back:
"[19:19:11] x: hi, yes the GLHAgent who is sending the present is from us (GLH).
It is not a griefer object its a normal security orb we programmed.
Its only a present so you do not need to fear.
Thanks for letting me know.
Yours Sincerely
x"

Here is the rest of the conversation:
[19:20:43] Қαтαηуα Şнαηηαrα (katanya.mistral): It's extremely ill-advised to send out unsolicited messages and objects. The account has been reported to LL countless times. If the orb is something you want to send to your tenants, fine, but DO NOT send it to the rest of SL.
[19:27:31] x: the names he has from our data base. its collected from people who landed on our regions or were in our groups
[19:28:03] x: etc
[19:32:39] Қαтαηуα Şнαηηαrα (katanya.mistral): Those are still unsolicited messages. Myself and the other folks I know that have been sent the spam message and item did not join a mailing list for your groups or business. Unless someone is a direct customer of yours, or has specifically requested one, you should never send scripted items to other residents, especially in light of all the scams that are going on in world. I contacted you in hopes that you had done something about the avatar, because everyone I know considers the bot a griefer. Just know that if the bot continues, the account is likely to get banned with as many times as it has been reported.

I just thought you all might be interested.

Huge Hair Sale

I don't know how many of you are aware of this, and I just discovered it tonight, but Elikapeka Tiramisu, owner of Elikatira is having a HUGE sale.  According to the signs in her store, she is currently moving across the country.  During the time that she is away, all of the hair in her is store is L$75 for the normal color packs, L$500 for the fat packs.  That is a huge savings!

According to her Flickr this started back in March, so I am sure I am waaay behind on this news, but I thought I would share just in case some of you may not be aware too hehe

Happy shopping!

Raw Blog: Sith Cat

Inspiration

Last year for one of my classes we had to create a graphic novel/comic that illustrated cloud computing concepts to 13-15 year olds.  As a group we came up with some basic ideas of the characters we wanted and the things we wanted to cover.  One of my group members really wanted a Sith cat.  It was a great excuse for me to put together a furry avatar for the first time in ages, and thus Darth Kittynus was born.

Raw Blog: Natural Beauty

Inspiration

If you haven't noticed by now, I love Native American style details and really natural looks for myself.  As with my last post, I just feel that nature friendly styling (is that a thing?) is the best fit for our Cervus Collar.  This outfit actually came before Native Touch hehe, and was really about me trying to find a more non-slave-like appearance for a profile picture, though I have not yet gotten around to the real thing.
