I feel so incredibly sad

I cleared off the Nyoka Falls sim today.  I will accept the final offer on the sim tomorrow and start proceedings Saturday to sell it.  I have had ties to that sim since 2007.  I would love to keep it, but I can't compete with land barons, and without Dylan in world creating, I don't even know why I am keeping our stores at all.

For anyone that should read this and might want to get a last offer in on a grandfathered, 30k sim, please send a notecard in world to Katanya Mistral.  Current high bid is L$240,000 plus the transfer fee paid by the buyer.

The clear out continues and goodbyes ahead

 So, ahead of the LL gacha ban, I am still clearing out all of my gacha saves from the past few years.  Sets I have saved for myself, but haven't moved from a storage folder, are all going into the random gacha vendor at the yardsale.  I am still keeping it set at $L10 a try.  My hope is that some folks will find enjoyment wearing or displaying the items I have spent so much time and L$ collecting, even though I know the one person that keeps clearing out my stock is likely just reselling it for their own gain.

I think this is a portion of the start of me finally pulling away from SL.  I have a grandfathered 30k sim I am going to be selling, which partially breaks my heart.  If we could find good tenants I would love to keep it, but I think it was too late for that a long time ago.  Right now it is trying to figure out what a fair price is and hoping I can find someone before tier is due again on 5Sep.

I already bought and created a small parcel for us on mainland for an in world location for our stores, but I think it may need to go to.  I'm honestly not sure anyone cares if our products persist or not.  It's one of those times where I wish we heard something from our customers.  The only time we hear anything is when people don't pay attention, don't read all of the material I have taken so much time to put out there, or are simply struggling with skills or items that are really out of our control.  I'm not completely bitter, but as I am sure many other merchants have experienced, you just wish you could hear more nice comments than anger/confusion/frustration.

If anyone actually read this far, thanks for allowing my exhausted self to rant.  I hope everyone that is still in SL and nice enough to read my little blog is happy and healthy.

Bye bye gacha

I am sure most of you have heard the news by now, LL is banning all gacha and like vending starting 1Sep.  Some people are ecstatic about this news, and others, not so much.  We will still be allowed to resell our gacha prizes since the buyer knows exactly which one they are purchasing.

I still have my random gacha prize vendor at my shop, which of course needs to go.  To that effect, hundreds of my own personal stash of gacha prizes have been added to the random vendor at the yardsale, with lots of rares.  Price has been dropped to L$10 a try.  I will try to add more to this as the stock gets sold.

Apologies to all, I was unaware the random gacha vendor had stopped working, and thankfully someone was kind enough to tell me today.  I have fixed my script and you are welcome to try your luck once more.

(I forgot to block out a function when I took out part of my script that used to block people I had banned from being able to buy from it...and of course it wasn't showing any sort of error.  Oh well, that's the fun of scripting.)
