Gacha Yardsale Reselling Policy

I have had to ban two people this week.

I have put this out before.  If I find you are buying gacha items from my yardsale, and then reselling them, especially at an insanely marked up rate, I will ban you from the store parcel and my vendors.

I sell off my extras so other people can enjoy the items I cannot use.  I don't go to other folks' in world locations or Marketplace stores and buy items that I can pass on to others for a profit, and don't feel it is fair for someone else to do that to me.

I sell all of my Commons at or below pull price because I think it is fair.  Yes, like most other folks, I do charge extra for Rares, but I don't think my prices on those are completely unreasonable given what I see other folks charging.

If you cannot respect this simple rule, then you will simply have to find another place to shop for your pre-purchased/pre-won/pre-pulled gacha goodies.

Markdowns at the gacha yardsale

I have started the slow process of marking down some of the older gachas in my inventory.  Some items are being marked down as much as 60% off of the previous price.  I have 60 pages of products, so it is going to take me some time to get through all of those.

I am considering having a one day sale at the end of the month for all items as well, so stay tuned.

Still fighting copybotters

I've been trying to find Pink Fuel copybotters on the Marketplace for the past two years now.  From time to time, I go to the Marketplace and perform my search, flag offending listings, then update Mochi Milena (the owner of Pink Fuel) and update my listing here on the blog.  I look forward to the day when I will no longer find these listings on the MP.

Please help your fellow SL residents who work hard to bring you original content.  Be vigilant.  If something seems too good to be true, like getting a quality skin for full perm (especially when you know the brand and know the person offering it isn't the creator), take a minute to investigate.  Copybotting is still alive and well in SL, and extends far beyond just skins.

After this stupid spam reached two of our girls today, I decided to try contacting the owner of one of the GLH groups.

[19:14:16] Қαтαηуα Şнαηηαrα (katanya.mistral): I'm sure by now you've had multiple reports of the avatar GLHAgent Resident trying to pass his or herself off as an agent of your company while handing out "security orbs". I'm hoping you've banned then from your groups, though they are still showing as a member. Tired of blocking and banning the avatar.

I first got his autoresponse, but after 5 minutes actually received the following back:
"[19:19:11] x: hi, yes the GLHAgent who is sending the present is from us (GLH).
It is not a griefer object its a normal security orb we programmed.
Its only a present so you do not need to fear.
Thanks for letting me know.

Myself and the other folks I know that have been sent the spam message and item did not join a mailing list for your groups or business. Unless someone is a direct customer of yours, or has specifically requested one, you should never send scripted items to other residents, especially in light of all the scams that are going on in world. I contacted you in hopes that you had done something about the avatar, because everyone I know considers the bot a griefer. Just know that if the bot continues, the account is likely to get banned with as many times as it has been reported.

Huge Hair Sale

I don't know how many of you are aware of this, and I just discovered it tonight, but Elikapeka Tiramisu, owner of Elikatira is having a HUGE sale.  According to the signs in her store, she is currently moving across the country.  During the time that she is away, all of the hair in her is store is L$75 for the normal color packs, L$500 for the fat packs.  That is a huge savings!

According to her Flickr this started back in March, so I am sure I am waaay behind on this news, but I thought I would share just in case some of you may not be aware too hehe

Raw Blog: Sith Cat

Inspiration

Last year for one of my classes we had to create a graphic novel/comic that illustrated cloud computing concepts to 13-15 year olds.  As a group we came up with some basic ideas of the characters we wanted and the things we wanted to cover.  One of my group members really wanted a Sith cat.  It was a great excuse for me to put together a furry avatar for the first time in ages, and thus Darth Kittynus was born.

Inspiration

Inspiration

This was one of those really unique dresses that I knew would fit well for Gorean role play, and pairing it with the matching jacket made it a great fit with the collar we released for We Love Roleplay in March.  It just had a native feel to me, so that is where the tattoo inspiration came from, and the setting.

New blog feature: Raw Blogs

I'm sure I don't really have that many followers these days, as I stopped blogging outfits about a year ago.  As I have stated in past posts, real life has been a major challenge, and I just haven't had enough time or inspiration to start blogging regularly again.  I do feel bad for this, as if I've let some of you wonderful folks down.

I have started to put together some outfits again, really just for my own enjoyment.  That was how this whole blog started; putting together outfits that I liked, and then deciding to share those ideas with all of you.  I am not back to a point where I am trying to make edited pictures once more, but I have been taking a few snapshots to show off what I have been putting together.  Sometimes I will actually take the time to edit these.

When I have time, these snapshots will come together in a post, along with the outfit details, just to show you all some more ideas of how to style your avatar.  Most of these raw posts will feature things I have found at recent events, though they may be over by the time I post, and they will probably also feature one of our collars from ::A Master's Eye:: as that is where most of my time in world is spent.
